Marileidy returns to track for Diamond League in Poland

Marileidy Paulino, the Olympic gold medalist from the Dominican Republic, is set to return to the track just 16 days after her victory in Paris. This Sunday, she will compete in the fifth stage of the Diamond League in Silesia, Poland.

Paulino has been undefeated in the first four races of the season, with victories in Xiamen and Suzhou, China; Oslo, Norway; and Paris, France. She has consistently dominated the 400 meters, accumulating crucial points that bring her closer to securing a spot in the final.

Her season began on April 20 in Xiamen, where she clocked 50.08 seconds, followed by a win in Suzhou with a time of 50.89 seconds. On June 15 in Oslo, she improved her time to 49.30 seconds, and on July 7 in Paris, she set her season’s best at 49.20 seconds. Paulino now leads the Diamond League standings and will aim for her third consecutive title in the final on September 13 in Brussels, Belgium.
