Festur Sánchez Ramírez 2024 to showcase ecotourism and cultural riches at Hatillo Dam

Sánchez Ramírez, DR.-  From October 31 to November 4, the second edition of Festur Sánchez Ramírez 2024 will take place at the Hatillo Dam, aiming to showcase the area’s tourist attractions and establish the province as a top destination. The event, announced by the Ecotourism Development Council of Sánchez Ramírez (Codeprosar), will highlight the region’s natural, cultural, and touristic wealth through the newly introduced rice and guácara routes.

This year’s festival will feature over 100 ecotourism, commercial, and gastronomic offerings, including innovative activities such as water rides on bikes and catamarans, parachuting, and an attempt to create the world’s largest majarete, led by the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA). Dedicated to Japan for its contributions to local development, the event will also honor Monseñor Nouel as a guest province. Attendees can enjoy painting exhibitions, national parades, and artistic performances.

Supported by the Ministries of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, Festur Sánchez Ramírez 2024 will also offer guided tours across the province’s municipalities, allowing visitors to explore their history and main attractions. During the press conference, Codeprosar recognized companies like Barrick Pueblo Viejo, Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, and Alaver for their contributions to the festival’s first edition.
