911 and Mayor’s Office coordinate emergency response to weather conditions

Santo Domingo.- The National Emergency and Security System 911 has announced that it is working with the Mayor’s Office of the National District (ADN) to manage risk interventions in response to the hydrometeorological conditions affecting Greater Santo Domingo on Tuesday.

From early in the morning, the 911 Video Surveillance System identified potential safety hazards. In response, the coordination of interventions involved units from the Fire Department of the National District, the Military and Police Commission (COMIPOL) of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), and sewer cleaning trucks, among other heavy equipment provided by the Mayor’s Office of the National District. These efforts were executed promptly and efficiently.
