Truck stopped in Valverde where 29 Haitians were hiding under crates

Valverde – Soldiers of the Dominican Army stopped a truck loaded with undocumented Haitians who were hidden under crates in Valverde.

The truck, a white Daihatsu brand, was transporting 29 Haitians with irregular immigration status and was stopped when it passed through the main street of the municipality of La Reforma, province of Valverde.

During the military operation, the driver, identified as Alfredo de la Rosa, and his companion Rafael Lizardo were arrested and will be brought to justice in the next few hours.

A source from the Army informed Listín Diario that the truck and the detainees were sent to the Public Ministry of Montecristi for the corresponding purposes.
