RD Exquisita: Madrid’s first Dominican gastronomic festival

Madrid.- RD Exquisita, the first gastronomic festival in Madrid, aims to showcase the culinary richness and culture of the Dominican Republic while highlighting Madrid as a vibrant multicultural hub. Scheduled from January 18 to 26, 2025, the festival will feature a gastronomic route through top Spanish-Dominican restaurants, blending traditional flavors with modern innovation.

The event’s goals include promoting Dominican restaurants in Madrid, training culinary professionals, and encouraging the exchange of Dominican products within the Spanish market. It will also foster collaboration between Dominican and Spanish chefs, with training sessions on the latest culinary trends, new ingredients, and innovative recipes. Additionally, young Dominican culinary talent will be spotlighted, with training on traditional techniques and local ingredients.

RD Exquisita will also strengthen trade relations between the Dominican Republic and Spain, particularly in the fruit, vegetable, agro-industrial, and rum sectors. The festival will create opportunities to expand Dominican products in the European market, serving as a new platform for the promotion of Dominican gastronomy and products through strategic partnerships, including the DoMadrid Forum.
