Boutique hotel collapses in Santo Domingo’s colonial zone

Santo Domingo.– Dominican authorities have undergone an investigation to figure out the real causes of the partial collapse at the Hotel Frances Santo Domingo in the capital’s colonial zone.

The boutique hotel, which belongs to the French Accor chain, has been temporarily closed since Thursday, but the reception area and at least five rooms were affected Saturday night after part of the ceiling collapsed.

According to elnuevodiario.com.do, there were no fatalities or injuries. Only a security guard was working at the moment of the incident but he was out of the the XVI century building.
