Prosecutors get hi-tech photo App to nab fugitives, felons

Santo Domingo.- The Justice Ministry on Thursday unveiled ahi-tech system for prosecutors to identify fugitives and people with rap sheetsthrough photos.

Justice minister Francisco Dominguez a said the system booststhe fight on crime, with 100 investigators and prosecutors getting cell phones withthe App that sends to the Ministry’s database the photo and finger prints ofpeople being investigated.

The devices allows investigators to learn about thepersonal data of someone caught in flagrante delicto and whether they haveother wants and warrants or if they are fugitives with felonies.

The App is also available on the computers of some 85 officesof the prosecutors and of the prisons, Dominguez said.
