Greens target ‘cave of thieves’ in Odebrecht US$95.0M graft case

Santo Domingo.- Members of the grassroots movement Green March on Monday afternoon protested in front of Caney Tower, home to Angel Rondón and Víctor Díaz Rúa, both free on bail in the Brazilian company Odebrecht US$95.0 million graft case.

Chanting “Cave of thieves,” the protesters clad in green gathered in front of the 39-story tower, located on Anacaona Av., in the upscale sector Bella Vista.

Police officers stood nearby watching over the demonstration.

Last Friday Special Instruction judge Francisco Ortega set bond at RD$70.0 million for Rondón and 50 million for Díaz, who were both indicted in the Odebrecht case.
