New ambassador to the UN, general consul in N.Y. take the oath

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thursday morning administered the oath to the new DominicanRepublic General Consul in New York, Luis Lithgow and to the new Ambassador inthe United Nations, Francisco Antonio Cortorreal.

In the designation by executive order issued on December31, Lithgow replaces Félix Antonio Martínez in the Consulate in New York .

Cortorreal had been Dominican Republic’s Alternate Ambassadorto the UN since 2004.
