LIDOM mourns death of former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel in Jet Set collapse

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Major League Baseball pitcher Octavio Dotel, who died in an ambulance while being transported to a hospital after being trapped in the tragic collapse at the Jet Set nightclub early Tuesday morning.
In an official statement, LIDOM honored Dotel as a member of the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame and recognized his contributions to Dominican baseball.
Dotel had been attending a party hosted by merengue singer Rubby Pérez, alongside fellow former players Esteban Germán and Tony Blanco. While Dotel was rescued from the rubble, he sadly succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.
