NY agents nab Dominicans inUS$12.0M heroin case

NEW YORK.- New York Antinarcotics and State Police agents arrested several Dominicans of a group of nine suspects, with 55 pounds of heroin with a street value of US$12 million.

Investigators identified the main ringleaders of the two drug trafficking gangs as Dorian Cabrera, José Jesús, David Sánchez and Jeen Blake.

Cabrera, 42, owns a "Good Guys" trucking franchise based in the suburb of Rosedale and according to prosecutors, used vehicles to collect and transport drugs to states as far away as California.

NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton and NY State Police chief Joseph D´Amico announced Cabrera’s arrest and of the other suspects on Wednesday, and revealed that two investigations conducted by special agents led to the suspects’ apprehension, and halted the distribution of the heroine.
