Dominican Republic fights corruption year-round: Washington

Santo Domingo.- The US Embassy on Tuesday said Washington recognizes that corruption is combated 365 days a year in the Dominican Republic and the entire world.
The US Embassy made the affirmation yesterday, to mark International Anti-Corruption Day. "The US government recognizes that in the Dominican Republic and around the world, individuals, governments, businesses, civil society and international organizations fighting corruption 365 days a year."
"We’re happy to continue working with various groups in the Dominican Republic in the ongoing fight against corruption," it aid in a statement, adding that the US joins the international community to mark International Anti-Corruption Day every year.
