Making good on threat, traffic cops nab autos with expired tags
Santo Domingo.- Making good on its threat, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) cops on Tues. morning started impounding vehicles whose owners failed to renew the license plate, within the period which expired Mon.
Amet spokesman Rafael Tejada, said all his officers are instructed to stop and check the vehicles have to place the renewal sticker.
He said if the vehicle doesn’t have the renewal sticker it will be taken to one of Amet’s impound yards until the motorist complies.
Since the start of the morning commute Amet cops were busy stopping and checking the vehicles for the sticker in Greater Santo Domingo’s thoroughfares.
