La Altagracia – Several people were injured as a result of a multiple accident that occurred on the Coral Highway near a hotel in the province of La Altagracia, reported yesterday the National System of Emergency Attention and Security 9.1.1.
According to a communication from the agency, those affected who have not yet been identified were rescued by emergency service medical personnel and transferred to different health centers. At the time of this writing, the condition of the injured persons is unknown, as 9.1.1 did not specify it.
Randolfo Rijo Gómez, the entity’s director, said that 11 ambulances, the fire departments of Verón and Punta Cana, agents of the National Police, and two units of the General Directorate of Security of Transit and Land Transportation (Digesett) participated in the incident.
This stretch of road from the Friusa crossroads to Macao has a history of bad accidents. Can only guess vehicle traffic is very low to moderate on this multi lane road most of the time provides an open window for imprudent drivers to act more stupidly.
