Home appliances dominate “Black Friday” sales

Store cash registers were crowded.

The appliance areas of the different shopping centers were full of people looking to take advantage of the special offers to celebrate Black Friday, or Black Friday as it is known in the United States.

Televisions, in all sizes, seemed to be the most demanded items. During a visit to some stores, journalists from Listín Diario could observe men and women with their TVs on their shoulders and some people who, for the amount they carried, gave the impression that they were buying for resale.

Other household items, such as refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, air fryers, and blenders, also register a considerable demand on this holiday that starts with the celebration of Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Since the beginning of November, some shopping centers have declared offers that last the entire month, with discounts of up to 60%. Additionally, multiple banks have announced extra discounts for the use of credit cards, a strategy that has encouraged people’s consumption for a few years.

As every year, Black Friday sales managed to boost the economic flow in commerce, whose businesses carried out an insistent promotional campaign with attractive offers of discounts of up to 70% in conjunction with banks.

Weekend and Cyber Monday

Commercial establishments will maintain their offers during the weekend, while many are preparing to take advantage of Cyber Monday, a day of online offers or internet sales, especially technological items.
