Carolina Mejía to participate in Economic Forum in Panama

Santo Domingo.- Carolina Mejía, mayor of the National District, will travel to Panama to attend the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF). The event, held at the Panama Convention Center on Wednesday and Thursday, will focus on strategies for restoring economic growth.

Mejía will participate in a panel discussing the role of women in decision-making for regional development, alongside Walléria Viana Sampaio of the Bank of Brazil and former Panamanian ambassador Natalia Royo, moderated by journalist Paula Bolívar.

Additionally, she will engage in a discussion with CAF Vice President Cristian Asinelli and meet with Dan Restrepo, former advisor to Barack Obama and current CAF consultant, to explore key economic and policy issues.
