Punta Cana.- The Corales Puntacana Championship has been nominated in the categories of “Best Marketing Initiative” and “Best Element of its Kind” in the 2023-2024 PGA TOUR Tournament Awards, recognizing its impact on the community and excellence in event management. Manuel Sajour, CEO of Grupo Puntacana and director of the tournament, expressed pride in the nominations, emphasizing that it showcases their dedication to delivering an exceptional experience and innovative strategies.
The “Best Marketing Initiative” category also includes top tournaments like RBC Heritage, The Memorial Tournament, Valero Texas Open, BMW Championship, and RBC Canadian Open. Meanwhile, the “Best-in-Class” category honors elements such as services, campaigns, or activities that set a high standard for other tournaments to follow.
The Corales Puntacana Championship, scheduled for April 14-20, 2025, at the Corales golf course, is a key event for the Dominican Republic, promoting the country globally through golf tourism. The tournament, offering 300 FedExCup points, will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel and reaches over 7 million viewers in the United States and 4 million in Europe.
