Honduras.- The Honduran Merchant Marine provided key details about the route of a container carrying 9.8 tons of cocaine seized at the port of Caucedo, confirming the shipment was not contaminated on Honduran soil. Advanced maritime monitoring systems allowed authorities to trace the container’s journey from its origin.
The container arrived empty at Guatemala’s port of Santo Tomás de Castilla on November 25 and was moved to the port of Barrios on November 27. On November 29, it was loaded onto the Liberian-flagged vessel Scorpius, which sailed directly to Caucedo, where the drugs were discovered.
The seized cocaine, one of the largest confiscations in Dominican history, was incinerated under the supervision of Attorney General Miriam Germán Brito. The operation marks a significant milestone in the country’s fight against drug trafficking.
I suppose the whole investigation will be incinerated as well! Everyone is claiming clean hands.
