Truckers block entrance to busiest port: report

Santo Domingo.- Truckers of the national transportation union (Fenatrado) since early Thurs. have blocked the entrance to the Punta Caucedo Multimodal Port, claiming that there’s no equipment  to load the containers, Diario Libre reports.

The union said since there were 250 trucks stopped last night because there are no cranes to load of offload the containers in the country’s biggest port.

The walkout comes just days after Fenatrado warned of higher freight fees on rising fuel costs.
