Pre-check at Punta Cana benefits US-bound passengers

Santo Domingo.- Airports management contractor (AERODOM) director Monika Infante on Thurs. hailed the start of the pre-authorization agreement signed by the Dominican Republic and the US, which allows passengers from Punta Cana Airport to forego immigration checks upon arrival at American airports.

She said the initiative benefits both countries since the passengers heading from Punta Cana to US territory can pre-register.

Despite that the agreement was signed two years ago, it had yet to be implemented since it was pending review by the Constitutional Court.
