Gov. mulls Sosúa opportunities and challenges to strengthen tourism

The Ministry of Tourism ( Mitur ), through the Regional Director of Tourism, Jakaira Cid and the head of the Tourist Promotion Office (OPT) Sosúa, Oscar Peralta, analyzes the opportunities and challenges of the Puerto Plata area to strengthen the tourism.

That is why the workshop of the work table “Results of the SWOT method applied in Sosúa” was presented to the tourism sector.

During the meeting, points of interest for the implementation and development of tourism in the said coastal municipality were discussed and discussed, identified by the method (SWOT), in which the Strengths, Opportunities, Weaknesses, and Threats of the Sosúa destination are analyzed.

The OPT-Sosúa with its work team reaffirms the commitment to destiny by carrying out the work plan of the provincial direction and the Vice Ministry of Tourism Destination Management, headed by Julio Almonte.

In the activity carried out at the facilities of the Casa Marina hotel, the Municipal Mayor, Ilana Neumann, in the company of the Councilor, Radhames Guzman Balbuena and the Director of Urban Planning of the City Council, Nolberto Mota, were present, according to the statement.

As well as Andrés Pastoriza, president of the Association for Sustainable Development of Sosúa ( ADSS ); Humberto Pichardo, president of the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of Sosúa and Cabarete ( ASHORESOCA ); the executive director, María Veras, among other personalities.
