Textile Association’s new chief lists priorities

The Dominican Textile Industries Association (Aditex) elected a new board of directors for the 2017-2019 period, and chose Joan Juliá Calac as its new president, who thanked the members for their trust and support.

Juliá said the new council priorities include a defense of Law 56-07 on textiles and garments, “which is of vital importance for the sustainability of the sector, and to obtain the approval by Congress of the transfer of the titles of property purchasers in the Santo Domingo Oeste Industrial District (DISDO), which has paralyzed the park’s development.
