Heavy congestion at Santo Domingo Metro’s Juan Pablo Duarte Station causes delays
Santo Domingo.- This Wednesday morning, heavy congestion at the Juan Pablo Duarte station, a key connection point for Line II of the Santo Domingo subway, caused significant delays for hundreds of commuters.
Many passengers arrived late to work as a result of the overcrowding. Pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities were particularly impacted, as they had to navigate through the crowd, dealing with pushing, jostling, and rude behavior from other passengers trying to board the trains.
As of now, the Santo Domingo Metro has not released any statement providing details on the cause of the disruption.
