He said that the first section from the Coral II toll to Punta Cana has already been contracted, but the project includes the complete asphalting from San Pedro to Punta Cana.
“We seek to ensure that this road continues to provide service without inconveniences, extending the useful life of the same of the current folder for five or eight more years,” he said.
According to Diario Libre, he indicated that Minister Deligne Ascención and engineers from the construction sector are in Puerto Rico to participate in an activity related to asphalt recycling, which aims to reduce the costs of the work.
As part of its contribution to improving road safety in the Eastern region, the Puntacana Group is building the margin of the roundabout near the airport.
There are traffic jams in the area, and the new work is expected to improve the situation.
Trucks, rollers, and other heavy equipment are used to asphalt the site. The construction company Alba Sánchez was hired to carry out the work.
