Dominican authorities to apply health protocols to arriving travelers

Santo Domingo.- The Immigration Agency ordered the automatic implementation of protocols for disease control as an alert policy to prevent Ebola, as part of the routine in the process of admission of travelers arriving in the Dominican Republic.

The computer system of immigration control has been programmed so that any passenger arriving at any border entrance (air, sea or ground) is questioned regarding the countries he or she has visited in the last thirty days.

According to Immigration Agency director Jose Ricardo Taveras, this measure will avoid any human error detecting possible cases that may spread the disease in the country.
