The Labor Day holiday has been changed to Monday, April 29th

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Labor in the Dominican Republic reminds all businesses and workers that Labor Day, traditionally observed on Wednesday, May 1, will be shifted to Monday, April 29, as a working day. Consequently, Tuesday, April 30, will resume as the regular workday for the labor force, in accordance with Law 139-97 and holiday regulations.

It is imperative that the entire working class adheres to these adjustments, recognizing the legal framework surrounding holiday scheduling. Compliance with these regulations is mandatory for all establishments across the country to ensure uniform observance of these dates as stipulated by Dominican legislation.
