Suriname President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons to visit Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- The President of Suriname, Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, will arrive in the Dominican Republic this Saturday for an official visit scheduled to conclude on June 2.

During her stay, Geerlings-Simons will meet with President Luis Abinader and hold separate meetings with Senate President Ricardo de los Santos and Chamber of Deputies President Alfredo Pacheco.

The Surinamese president and her delegation are set to arrive at Punta Cana International Airport on Saturday morning. Official activities will begin Monday at the National Palace with military honors, followed by a private meeting between both heads of state, bilateral talks between delegations, and the signing of agreements and a joint declaration.

As part of her agenda, Geerlings-Simons will also visit the Altar of the Fatherland alongside Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez to lay a floral tribute. On Tuesday, she will meet with congressional leaders at the National Congress before departing later that afternoon from Las Américas International Airport.
