Casa de Campo Fashion Week brings international attention to Dominican fashion

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas successfully launched the first edition of Casa de Campo Fashion Week, a new event that brought together fashion, luxury tourism, art, and culture while positioning the Dominican Republic as a leading destination for high-end lifestyle experiences in the Caribbean.

Held from June 4 to 7, the four-day event featured runway shows, photography exhibitions, wellness activities, and exclusive social gatherings across Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón. The initiative was created to promote Dominican fashion designers, attract international talent, and strengthen the country’s presence in the regional luxury fashion and tourism industries.

Fashion presentations took place at the Marina Riverside Center, where 12 designers unveiled their latest collections before an audience of industry professionals, media representatives, and guests. Dominican designers including Giannina Azar, JC Lagares, Jacqueline Then, Jenny Polanco, Carolina Socías, and Oriett Domenech shared the runway with internationally recognized Spanish designer Custo Barcelona, highlighting the event’s global appeal.

The program also included a photography exhibition by renowned fashion photographer Jesús Cordero at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery. The exhibition, which opened the event, will remain available to visitors through July 31, 2026, adding a cultural dimension to the fashion showcase.

According to Casa de Campo executives, the event forms part of the resort’s strategy to diversify its tourism offerings and reinforce its position as a benchmark for luxury hospitality, entertainment, and world-class events in the Caribbean. The initiative received support from the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism.

Former Miss Universe and actress Dayanara Torres served as the official ambassador of Casa de Campo Fashion Week, contributing international visibility to the event. One of the highlights of the week was the participation of her son, Ryan Muñiz, as a guest model, marking the first time the mother and son shared a fashion runway in the Dominican Republic.

With a successful debut, Casa de Campo Fashion Week aims to become a premier platform for Dominican fashion, luxury tourism, and cultural experiences, helping attract international visitors while showcasing the creativity and talent of the Dominican Republic to a global audience.
