‘The New Digital Currency’ brings online reputation focus to Expoturismo 2026
Santiago de los Caballeros.- Expoturismo 2026 will spotlight the growing importance of online reputation in the tourism industry with the conference “The New Digital Currency,” a presentation focused on how reviews, ratings, and digital visibility influence travelers’ purchasing decisions.
The conference, scheduled for June 12 at the Hotel Santiago Curio Collection by Hilton, will be led by technology and digital transformation specialist Isaac Ramírez and marketing expert Kenia Hernández, director of Ongoing Marketing Solutions. The speakers will examine how search engines, online maps, and review platforms have become key factors in the selection of hotels, restaurants, and tourist experiences.
During the session, attendees will be introduced to technological solutions designed to strengthen companies’ digital presence, improve reputation management, and address harmful online content. The presentation will also highlight strategies for protecting customer trust, which industry experts consider one of the most valuable assets in today’s digital economy.
The conference forms part of the 29th edition of Expoturismo, taking place June 12 and 13 in Santiago, and reflects the event’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and new business opportunities within the tourism sector. Organizers say the initiative will provide practical tools for tourism businesses seeking to remain competitive in an increasingly digital marketplace.
