Two People Found Dead in Luxury Residential Tower in Santo Domingo’s Piantini District
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — Two people were found dead under circumstances currently being investigated by authorities at a residential tower in the upscale Piantini neighborhood of Santo Domingo.
The incident occurred at Arpel 07 Tower, where officials from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) recovered the bodies of a man and a woman from the building’s fourth floor.
Authorities also discovered a third individual, a 22-year-old American woman, unconscious at the scene. She was transported to Centro Médico Moderno, where she is receiving medical treatment.
According to preliminary information, the survivor told investigators that she had spent the previous day at the beach with the two deceased individuals. During the outing, the group reportedly consumed fish and alcoholic beverages.
Preliminary Investigation Underway
Authorities have indicated that the two deceased individuals, as well as the woman receiving medical care, are believed to be foreign nationals. Their identities have not yet been released pending further investigation and notification of family members.
Officials have not disclosed the possible cause of death, and forensic experts continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released as authorities gather more information.
