Dreams Dominicus: “La Romana is experiencing a historic level of occupancy”
The hotel sector in La Romana-Bayahibe continues to show solid tourism performance, driven by growing international demand and the competitive advantages offered by the destination, as highlighted by Amando Pozo, general manager of Dreams Dominicus La Romana, who assured that hotel occupancy is experiencing one of its best moments.
He indicated that “occupancy is going brilliantly, better than ever, since the pandemic passed it seems that worldwide everyone has reflected that they have to enjoy themselves, travel, have a good time and not be stingy on their vacations, which has helped the Dominican Republic a lot, in addition to other socio-political factors that are happening around, such as Cuba and Mexico, the latter affected by the Sargassum.
“Ultimately, it has benefited us, and we are having better occupancy rates than in past years and than ever before,” he told areca.com.
Pozo explained that “the hotel complex is at 92% occupancy, La Romana is indeed very popular because we are grateful to have clean beaches, there is no sargassum, no seaweed and this benefits us greatly.”
With an occupancy rate exceeding 90% and the allure of its sargassum-free beaches, La Romana is solidifying its position as one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. According to Pozo, the combination of international factors and the area’s exceptional natural conditions continues to drive sustained growth in tourism.
It is worth remembering that the hotel, which belongs to Inclusive Collection, Part of World Hyatt, has 488 rooms, a pier where events such as birthdays and weddings can be held for a maximum of 50 people standing and 30 with tables, and is only 20 minutes from La Romana International Airport.
