Weekend weather forecast for the Dominican Republic
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported that on Saturday, the east wind will bring cloudiness, generating scattered showers.
Primarily over the provinces of La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Greater Santo Domingo.
He also predicted that during the afternoon, the combination of the effects associated with the diurnal cycle and the humidity of the weak trough at height will give rise to local showers and possible thunderstorms until the early hours of the night, mainly over the provinces of Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Elías Piña, and Dajabón.
The rest of the country will remain under mostly sunny, hot conditions.
By Sunday, the approach of another tropical wave and an upper-level trough will favor increased cloudiness, with scattered showers and thunderstorms that will be more frequent in the afternoon and into the early hours of the night in southeastern provinces, the Central Mountain Range, and the border area.
