United to add seasonal flights between Houston and Santo Domingo
United Airlines will expand its Latin American and Caribbean network with a new seasonal route between Houston, Texas, and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, during the 2026-27 Northern Hemisphere winter travel season.
The service will operate from December 18, 2026, through January 3, 2027, with three weekly flights aboard Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Flights from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport will depart in the afternoon and arrive in Santo Domingo in the evening, while return flights will leave the Dominican capital early in the morning, offering convenient connections through United’s Houston hub to destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
The airline said the temporary route is intended to meet increased demand during the year-end holiday season, when leisure travel and visits to family and friends peak. United also highlighted Santo Domingo’s importance as a tourism, business, and family travel destination, while emphasizing Houston’s role as one of its largest international connecting hubs.
