Milan welcomes hundreds for Dominican Parade 2026 celebration

Italy.- Hundreds of members of the Dominican community gathered in Milan on Sunday for the fifth Dominican Parade in Italy 2026, celebrating Dominican culture, traditions and national identity with a colorful procession through the city’s streets.

The parade, organized by the Dominican Cultural House, the Dominican Republic Chamber of Commerce in Italy and the Association of Dominican Professionals in Europe, featured the participation of Dominican lawmakers, community leaders and cultural groups. The march began at Piazza San Babila and ended at Milan’s iconic Duomo, where attendees enjoyed merengue, bachata and traditional Dominican performances.

The celebration concluded with a cultural show at Chiesa Rossa Square, featuring performances by Italian singer Annalisa Minetti and Dominican urban artist Lomiiel. Organizers said the annual event continues to strengthen ties among the Dominican diaspora in Europe while promoting the country’s culture and heritage abroad.
