Dominican Republic to host Americas Investment Forum 2026
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic will host the Americas Investment Forum (AIF) 2026, a major regional event focused on investment, trade and innovation that will bring together government officials, multinational companies, investment promotion agencies and international financial institutions from more than 52 countries.
Organized by ProDominicana and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), the forum will feature President Luis Abinader at the opening ceremony, alongside economist Ricardo Hausmann of Harvard’s Growth Lab. The agenda includes keynote speeches, high-level panels, business meetings and the presentation of the 2026 Dominican Republic Investment Recognition Award to foreign companies contributing to the country’s economic development.
ProDominicana Executive Director Biviana Riveiro Disla said the event reinforces the Dominican Republic’s position as a leading investment destination in Latin America and the Caribbean, following a record US$5.03 billion in foreign direct investment in 2025. The forum will also promote strategic partnerships and investment opportunities in sectors including sustainable tourism, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, creative industries and artificial intelligence.
