Abinader congratulates Keiko Fujimori on Peru election victory
Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader congratulated Keiko Fujimori on her victory in Peru’s presidential runoff, reaffirming the Dominican Republic’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between the two countries.
Fujimori’s election was officially confirmed by Peru’s National Office of Electoral Processes after the completion of the vote count, with the conservative candidate defeating leftist rival Roberto Sánchez by a margin of 49,641 votes.
