Dominican Republic sends new humanitarian aid shipment to Venezuela

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic has sent a new shipment of humanitarian aid to Venezuela by sea as part of Operation Quisqueya Solidaria 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting communities affected by the recent earthquake.

The cargo, transported aboard the K MARINE V from the Rio Haina port, includes non-perishable food, drinking water and hydration products, medicines, and other essential supplies collected through a joint effort involving government institutions, private companies, civil society organizations, media outlets, and citizens. Donations were gathered at collection centers across the country, including those organized by Rannik Group, Sambil, and the “Today for Venezuela” radiothon led by CERTV.

The Ministry of Defense said the shipment reflects the Dominican people’s spirit of solidarity and is part of a broader humanitarian response that has also included search-and-rescue teams, medical assistance, and support for Dominican citizens in Venezuela.
