Casa de Campo’s first Cigars in Paradise festival draws international visitors

La Romana.- Casa de Campo Resort & Villas successfully hosted the inaugural Casa de Campo Cigars in Paradise® festival from June 25 to 27, bringing together cigar enthusiasts, industry leaders and international guests in a celebration of premium tobacco and luxury spirits. Organizers said the event will become an annual tradition while reinforcing the Dominican Republic’s reputation as a global leader in premium cigars.

The festival featured golf at the Teeth of the Dog course, visits to the Brugal rum distillery, educational seminars led by international cigar experts, and evening celebrations showcasing 28 renowned premium cigar brands. Celebrities including Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sánchez, actor Eric Winter, and Hollywood actor Mekhi Phifer also attended the event.

As part of the festival, the Dominican Republic hosted the fifth edition of the Cigar Smoking World Championship, where Rafael Solano Portoreal claimed first place with a smoking time of 2 hours, 8 minutes and 23 seconds. Organizers said the strong international turnout and positive reception set a solid foundation for future editions of the festival.
