President Abinader names three representatives to National Council of Culture
Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader has appointed three new honorary members to the National Council of Culture through Decree 461-26, strengthening representation from local government, provincial development and the cultural sector.
The new appointments are Jorge Hugo Cavoli Balbuena, representing the Provincial Development Councils; Alfredo Frances Ortiz, representing municipal governments; and Héctor José Rizek Sued, representing the cultural sector. All three will serve on an honorary basis.
The National Council of Culture brings together representatives from public institutions, academia, the private sector, cultural organizations and local governments to help shape and oversee the country’s cultural policies.
