Blu Terrenas launches first phase and breaks ground on Hilton resort in Samaná
Blu Terrenas has inaugurated the first phase of its mixed-use development and officially broke ground on Almare Beach Resort Las Terrenas, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking a major milestone for tourism and real estate investment in Samaná.
Mirage Group CEO Enzo Odoguardi said the project is designed as a sustainable tropical city that will drive economic growth while integrating modern infrastructure with environmental conservation.
Spanning more than 3 million square meters, Blu Terrenas will feature 2,375 apartments and villas, international hotels, a shopping center, themed restaurants, a French-style boulevard, an Italian piazza, a beach club, a 1.7-kilometer navigable waterway, an ecological park, an amphitheater, a convention center, and wellness and recreational facilities.
The development is also expected to create more than 2,500 jobs and include a tourism training academy, youth development programs, and other community-focused initiatives.
Construction also began on the 226-room Almare Beach Resort Las Terrenas, Curio Collection by Hilton, which is scheduled to open in 2028. The beachfront resort will offer four swimming pools, a spa, fitness center, paddle courts, a beach club, and multiple dining venues, further expanding Hilton’s presence in the Dominican Republic.
