Fatal collision on Santo Domingo bypass leaves one dead, several injured

Santo Domingo.- At least one person was killed and several others were reportedly injured in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-trailer truck on the Santo Domingo bypass on Tuesday. Authorities had not yet released the identity of the victim or provided details on the condition of those injured at the time of reporting.

Emergency crews from the National Emergency and Security System (911), the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett), and other rescue agencies responded to the scene, assisting victims and working to clear the roadway.

Traffic remained open, although drivers were urged to proceed with caution due to debris left on the highway.
