David Collado promotes Dominican Republic tourism in Chicago

Chicago.- Tourism Minister David Collado led a promotional event in Chicago for travel agents and tour operators as part of the Dominican Republic’s strategy to strengthen tourism from the U.S. market.

During the presentation, Collado showcased the country’s latest tourism developments, highlighting its diverse attractions and growing appeal to international travelers. He underscored the importance of Illinois as a key source market, noting that more than 140,000 visitors from the state have traveled to the Dominican Republic, reflecting strong demand for the Caribbean destination.

The minister thanked travel advisors, tour operators, and industry partners for their continued support and reaffirmed the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to expanding promotional efforts in strategic markets to sustain the country’s tourism growth.

The Chicago event is part of Mitur’s international marketing agenda aimed at strengthening relationships with key travel partners and increasing visitor arrivals to the Dominican Republic.
