In the next few hours, the Saharan cloud number 10 will begin to decrease: a weak trough will approach the Dominican Republic, increasing the chances of moderate rain this afternoon and evening.
This was announced on Friday by meteorological analyst Jean Suriel.
“Today we will see an increase in cloud cover due to the effects of the trough, humid winds and hot temperatures in the region: the heat index will remain very high due to the advance of summer,” he said.

He also indicated that some rain with gusty winds could develop after midday in the Central Mountain Range, north, northeast, southeast, south, and border region. Some lightning storms are also possible.
By Saturday, “we will have a power struggle across the country: the arrival of Saharan cloud number 11 is expected, and the trough could still bring some precipitation. Another allergic reaction will begin in the country.”
By Sunday, it was indicated that Saharan dust particles would continue to affect much of the Dominican Republic, making the sky hazy and the air very hot, with light showers in the afternoon. The Saharan influence would also remain in the Dominican Republic on Monday.
