Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of National Assets (Bienes Nacionales) will hold its second public auction of 2026 on July 31, offering 184 lots that include transferable vehicles, vehicle bodies, furniture, motorcycles for parts, components, and scrap metal.

The auction is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Higher Education Police Institute (IPES) auditorium.

According to Nelson Gómez, head of the Auction Department, the items will be available for public inspection at National Assets warehouses located along the Mella Highway and at Merca Santo Domingo before the sale.

Interested bidders must pay a RD$2,000 registration fee and complete their registration at the National Assets Auction Department by July 29.

Successful bidders will have five business days after the auction to pay for their purchases by certified check payable to the National Treasury and an additional five business days to remove the items from the designated warehouses.

The auction will be overseen by Rafael Burgos Gómez, Director General of National Assets and Honorary Executive Director of the State Sugar Council (CEA), with the participation of a public auctioneer, a notary public, and members of the National Assets Sales Commission to ensure transparency and compliance with public auction regulations.
