SDQ MICE 2026 to showcase Santo Domingo’s meetings and events industry

Santo Domingo.- The Santo Domingo Hotel Association (AHSD) has announced the sixth edition of SDQ MICE 2026, scheduled for Sept. 21-23 at Hotel El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, with the aim of further positioning Santo Domingo as the Caribbean’s leading destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), the event will bring together international buyers, event planners and tourism suppliers to generate new business opportunities for the Dominican Republic’s meetings industry.

A key addition this year is a partnership with MICE Consulting, which will oversee the selection of qualified international buyers, including incentive travel companies from the United States, expanding commercial opportunities for local businesses.

The program will showcase Santo Domingo’s hotel infrastructure, event venues, air connectivity, gastronomy and cultural attractions, while the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster will organize experiences in the Colonial City. International buyers will also participate in a post-event tour of Punta Cana to highlight the country’s diverse tourism offerings.
