Aerodom announces new international routes and more flights for Puerto Plata
Puerto Plata.- Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) is expanding its international connectivity with new airline routes and additional flight frequencies to Panama and Canada, strengthening access to one of the Dominican Republic’s top tourism destinations.
Aerodom, part of the Vinci Airports network, announced that Copa Airlines has permanently increased its Panama City–Puerto Plata service from three to four weekly flights, improving connections to destinations across Latin America through its Panama hub.
For the upcoming winter season, Air Transat will launch a new weekly seasonal route from London, Ontario, beginning December 15, while WestJet will introduce a weekly seasonal flight from Winnipeg on the same date, further expanding direct air service from Canada to Puerto Plata.
The company also highlighted Gregorio Luperón International Airport’s strong service reputation, noting it has received the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award from the Airports Council International (ACI) four times, including in 2025, as the best airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in the category of airports serving up to two million passengers annually.
