RAAS Solar launches Tesla Solar Roof in the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- Dominican renewable energy company RAAS Solar has officially launched Tesla Solar Roof in the Dominican Republic, expanding access to Tesla’s integrated solar roofing technology for homes and businesses.

The announcement was made at the company’s Sustainable Corporate Office in Santo Domingo. Tesla Solar Roof combines glass roof tiles with built-in photovoltaic cells, allowing buildings to generate solar power while maintaining the appearance of a traditional roof.

RAAS Solar, which became the Dominican Republic’s first certified Tesla Energy partner to install the Tesla Powerwall energy storage system in 2020, said the new product strengthens its portfolio of renewable energy solutions.

The company noted that every Solar Roof installation is preceded by a technical assessment of factors such as roof orientation, shading, multiple roof levels and Caribbean climate conditions. Installation, warranty and technical support will be provided locally by RAAS Solar.

The Tesla Solar Roof can also benefit from incentives available under the Dominican Republic’s Law 57-07 on Renewable Energy and the country’s Net Metering program.
