Abinader announces cabinet changes, names Víctor Bisonó Foreign Minister
Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader announced new changes within the government through Decree 554-26, appointing new officials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings, and the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom).
Víctor O. Bisonó Haza was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Roberto Álvarez, who was named ambassador emeritus. Meanwhile, Jean Luis Rodríguez, previously executive director of Apordom, will take over as Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings.
At Apordom, Francisco Alejandro Campos Álvarez was appointed executive director, while Julia Luz Marina Muñiz Suberví will serve as president of its Board of Directors.
The appointments are part of the government restructuring announced by Abinader across several state institutions. The decree also repeals previous provisions to formally establish the new appointments.
