Dominican Republic promotes MICE Tourism at IBTM Americas 2026 in Mexico

Mexico.- The Dominican Republic is participating in the 17th edition of IBTM Americas 2026 in Mexico, promoting the country as a destination for the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) market.

The Dominican delegation is led by Tammy Reynoso, Vice Minister of Development at the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), who has held meetings with key representatives of the international MICE industry.

Among those contacted are Civitatis, a platform offering more than 91,600 activities in 4,080 destinations across 160 countries; Beautiful Destinations, a global tourism content agency; and Adriana Reyes of Pangea Americas.

Held August 19–20, IBTM Americas is a major business platform for the meetings and events industry, bringing together professionals from across the region to explore new opportunities, innovations and solutions for the sector.

The 2026 edition is expected to attract more than 4,000 attendees, 450 exhibitors and over 9,000 business appointments, providing the Dominican Republic with an opportunity to strengthen its presence in the growing MICE tourism market.
