FILSD 2026 to feature more than 70 international writers
Santo Domingo.- The 28th Santo Domingo International Book Fair (FILSD 2026) will take place at the Juan Pablo Duarte Cultural Plaza, opening on September 23 and running through October 4.
Culture Minister Roberto Ángel Salcedo announced that the fair will feature 70 international writers and more than 600 activities, including book presentations, conferences, workshops, author talks, film screenings, musical performances, and activities for children and young people.
The 2026 edition seeks to strengthen the fair’s international reach by bringing together writers, readers, publishers, booksellers and cultural managers from different countries, including representatives of major literary fairs and festivals.
Salcedo said the event aims to make literature a central part of Dominican cultural life while creating opportunities for cultural exchange and dialogue among participants and the public.
